In October 2010 the Equality Act became law, harmonising all Equality legislation in the UK. We have updated our Equality Policy to take account of the new legislation. The new act has created a number of new obligations for different organisations across all sectors. KPCSC is fully compliant and will abide by the rules of the Equality Act and British Cycling Equality Policy. Please see Ref 1 & 2 below for details.

KPCSC is committed to a policy of equal treatment of all members and requires all members to abide and adhere to these policies and the requirements of the relevant equalities legislation – Race Relations Act 1976 [Ref 3], Sex Discrimination Act 1975 [Ref 4] and Disability and Equality Act 2010 [Ref 5] as well as any amendments to these acts. Details of these acts can be found here:

KPCSC commits itself to the immediate investigation of any claims, when it is brought to their attention, of discrimination on the above grounds and where such is found to be the case, a requirement that the practice stop and sanctions imposed as appropriate.
